Summer Updates

I didn't realize it was quite some time since I've written a journal. If you guys haven't noticed I've been pretty absent on DA these past few months.
I feel like I haven't really done anything this summer, but I have been making more of an effort to hang out with friends which has been helping to be more social. For right now art is on the back burner as I'm preparing for SLC Comic Con in the beginning of September, and needless to say I'm not ready. I've been trying to make a foam gun from my favorite video game Mass Effect and let me tell you trying to connect LEDs is challenging (yes there's lights in the prop). I never thought it would be so much fun to create something 3D since I've done 2D drawings my whole life, but it's really fun. Some time in my life I'd love to try sculpting because really it looks like a lot of fun. Anyways, I'm not sure when I'll be back to drawing more art with university starting back up next month. After SLC Comic Con in September there's another local convention I go to every year: Anime Banzai so I'll be getting ready for that in October. So maybe sometime in October I'll post art? Yeah I don't know. It just depends on my cosplay situation. I really want to get back to drawing traditional art since I've neglected it for so long.

Really I feel like I haven't done much of anything this summer other than hanging out with friends, work, Fantasy Con, and really what have I been doing? haha. My family situation has calmed down for the most part, but something may be coming up that will bring me alot of anxiety. My brother thinks it might be best to take my father back home for five days to get him to realize he does need help. He's so stubborn at his care center. I really don't want him back here because it's pretty traumatizing just being in the same room with him even if he isn't doing anything. :sigh: But nothing is set in stone. Really my father chose the perfect time for this illness. lol When I'm trying to figure out who I am and where I stand in this world he decides to get sick. Yeah, oh well. That is life and we just have to take it and make the most of it.

In other news I've seen How to Train Your Dragon 2 like four times now. haha It's really good and it's just nice to see all the characters are older.
And you gamers out there! I'm really looked forward to some upcoming games this fall. Destiny, Assassins Creed Unity, Dragon Age Inquisition, and they're bringing Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep to the PS3. I've been wanting to play that game for so long but I don't have a PSP of any kind.

Oh and it's my birthday next month. That is really crazy and I'm starting to feel old. o.o Hopefully I can do something fun with friends before heading back to college.
